I follow the charging station game a bit because I have an EV. According to www.plugshare.com there are quite a few commercial 50kW fast DC outlets in Australia, not to mention the numerous 120kW Tesla Superchargers. This is hardly a "first". It is, however, good to see an Aussie company in Tritium get their first installation.
I think that Pwrtrdr is correct in terms of cost per charge. Most EV drivers top up rather getting a full tank. My feeling is the EV drivers living in strata communities will want a plug (even a slow 7kW AC one) in their own car park space and trickle charge over night. I think that ultimately LPE can make more out of that than the Tritium because of the capital outlay. Anyone know how much a Tritium costs?
