Correct, the smorgasbord of arrivals from Europe and elsewhere gave this country the boost it needed to evolve into a modern good standard of living country. There will always be a minority of those that cant handle difference(racists) and its because of fear and in some cases envy that new arrivals can actually make a good go of things and become very successful, in spite of having an accent and some different cultural preferences.

My mum used to tell us about when she was a girl and a Greek shopkeeper opened up on the strip shops. Another shop keeper wrote on his own window "shop here and watch a Deigo by". Same then as it is now, they are all the ruination of our society...blah....blah....blah!
