Why is the Zinc price going on these wild rides?

It went from about $2.09 down to about $1.85....WTF i just dont get it, it has calmed down alot since then, however in the last trading session the price did get down to $1.91 now back over $2 again.

Its really strange when you would consider the stockpile levels are getting depleted rather quickly.

This is way over my understanding and i can only think over the longer term, between 6 and 12 months from here,

Zinc should get to $2.50 with ease...lol..

Am i a little to optomistic?
