If something's leaked, there's no reflection in Forex or US Bond Markets, or US equities (up, but not enormously...they've been up all day).
I'm guessing the Market Makers got their stop hunts out of the way with BOJ, are now net long, and pushing it up, which is obviously risky ahead of FOMC.
But they can do what they want....perhaps they are sucking in bulls, and waiting for the FOMC Press Release...if it's bad for gold, they sell at the days high, with early foolish US Wednesday bulls left holding the bag (and maybe another bear stop sweep for good measure), if it's good, well, they're long!
Just a guess...worth exactly what you paid for it...
