Playing devil's advocate here, the difference I see is that it's a product they are developing and not a 3rd party product you can walk into a shop and buy. Wouldn't be much different to OBJ for example releasing a video out on how their technology works such as the "OBJ diamagnetic demonstration" video on their website.
From a quick glance (let's face it that's all they would of done) the OBJ release has big photo's of P&G's Pro-X all over it announcing it's release in China. Unless you are familiar with the company, it's not going to be immediately obvious to the average joe on the street so to speak what it's all about. After my initial outrage subsided, I think OBJ could of done better on this front to get it pass the "censors" but disappointingly chose to leave it at that.
Time to let it go I think.
