I just got bitten by a Bull Mastiff . I was in Queens Park walking my dog when I ran into a young bloke 20 ish with this big fawn dog. I said to him, What is that? a Bull Mastiff was his reply. Of course I told him about my last encounter with one of these monsters. It was 9 months old. My dog wanted to play with it, however he said don't let your dog jump up on him he hates it. Next thing the monster is attacking my dog. He starts punching his dog, I try to grab my dog and the the thing bites me on the arm. I take blood thinners so there was plenty of blood. I said to the kid don't worry about it and off he went.He never even said sorry. I had blood running down my arm and it wouldn't stop because of the blood thinners. People I pass in the park ask what happened and I tell them the tale. At least 3 out of 5 had encountered the same dog which was aggressive towards their pets. All said report him. So I ring Waverley Council emergency dog number. Nobody there of course. Then I ring Centennial Park Parklands Trust. I get onto some woman who says after taking my details that there is nothing they can do because I should of reported the incident when it happened. I said so I should take a baseball bat with me for protection in case it attacks me or my dog? Wasn't happy with that reply. I forgot to tell her that I never had my mobile phone on me so it was pretty hard to ring or take a picture. She said I will get somebody to have a look tomorrow, I replied the best bet was to ask a NZ lady who is a professional dog walker who had been threatened by this dog and owner. She would have a better idea when to look for him. Anyway I can see this going nowhere. Now I am off to to get a Tetanus Needle. Worst thing is it costs me $80 to see my doctor on Saturdays. I guess I am lucky it never continued attacking me because it could of been a lot worse.
