"The trouble in Syria started as a peaceful protest and Hassad did the rest."
Have to disagree there. The very first bit of violence there resulted in the deaths of something like 120 Syrian security forces....... obviously by well armed and experienced "opposition"...... hardly the average mum and dad protestors.
That was put down then to the arrival of professional protestors still inflamed with their slaughter in Libya.....hence the well-armed.
And re "He is a butcher plain and simple and the world would be a better place without him and people like him."
I may agree with "butcher", but disagree with the rest. Do you really believe that Iraq and Libya are better off without Saddam and Gadaffi? Those countries are now stuffed forever. You need a strong and brutal dictator in those parts to hold things together and make the rabble behave.
The best chance for peace in Syria is to kick out the butchering Sunni extremists, and re-unify the country under Assad's govt.....and THEN pension him off.... replacing him with another dictator who can maintain control.
Surely you dont really think the country would be better off being run by ISIS and Al Nusra types? Because that is the only other option.
