Before the "Great Depression" last century, if anyone had predicted that it was coming and how bad it was going to be, no-one would have believed it because there was nothing in their experience to compare it too. That's a basic human trait - judge everything by the past, and reject it if it doesn't seem to fit. (Not criticising anyone, just stating the obvious... perhaps its learned behaviour - maybe that's why adults have more difficulties than kiddies when they encounter something or someone different to themselves in some way, at least for the first time, and unfortunately for many people, ad infinitum).

As for the coming debacle, I reckon it's going to be at least 10 times worse than the so-called "Great Depression" of the last century, at least for the Northern Hemisphere. After the worst of the economic collapse is past, I believe the USA might end up having a(nother) civil war. Europe - well, they've never really seemed happier than when they're all at each other's throats....

As for Australia & New Zealand, I think we'll end up with totalitarian governments - not that that will be desirable, but it might well be necessary for our survival as independent nations.

All this is probably a few years, maybe even 20 years, off, but the slide has surely begun already.

    And have a nice day.

    Regards,

    Ultrafart.
