Never owned Qantas shared, don't particularly like flying with them either. No personal opinion one way or the other about Mr Joyce (apart from we share ancestry)

The similarities are there to see and that is what the post is about. Circumstances outside control contributed greatly to Qantas' near demise, then a restructure (no doubt hurting some people but that is business) and a more favourable operating environment, led to its best performance ever a year or two later.

The similarities are striking I believe, notwithstanding different industries and dynamics.
