My beef came after not one but three major rows about Qantas Club and Frequent Flyer on a seperate occasion.
Refused entry to The Club on one occasion because I was flying Rex (Qantas didn't service Griffith). Strictly the rules say must be flying that day on a ticket - I could see inside the lounge was virtually empty and pleaded with the receptionsist that I had paid my dues for over 10 years plus there is hardly anyone on there plus you don't fly to my destination. The receptionist had about as much empathy as a SGH-shorter, she may as well have told me to F**k off.
Just one of a few too many examples where I have found Qantas staff rude. Plenty of good examples too, to be fair (perhaps more than bad but we remember the bad).
Always fly Emirates to Europe, for domestic it depends on which offers the best deal on the day.
p.s. told them where to stuff Qantas Club on renewal (a few years ago now).

Don't agree airlines are airlines and I've flown many. I have not flown but hear Emirates is good. I agree QAN staff have been rude in past but it's much much better now. Glad you didn't say BA 'cause they're a step down from QAN.
