My guess (educated I hope through experience with auditors) is that the auditors insisted on a worst case scenario before they would sign off on the report. I spent 2 days this week having this same problem with "bean counters" that insist on covering THEIR butt regardless of what this type of report will do to the credibility to a company.
Apart from the auditors version, I find the outcome is as expected and as predicted by the company management. I expect it is also as expected by the lenders and the companies customers.
To me it is a case of be alert but not alarmed.
