She has a serious following. I think people have to realise here that there are "A List Celebrities" and there are "A List Social Media Influencers".
No "A List Celebrity" was going to put their name to the competition prior to completion of the Beta test. Just like they don't and wouldn't endorse any product in its embryonic state, they don't need to and they wouldn't do so to risk their own "brand". Not to mention you wouldn't use an A List celebrity for the closed competition which is restricted to 1,000 contestants, it wouldn't be worth it. I would expect an appointment of that calibre post the completion of this Beta phase.

Looking at some of her content she looks great in front of the camera.  I would guess that a big part of her audience is that "Millenial type" that will be a massive part of the audience of Megastar when it goes live.
I think she's a great choice for the Beta competition and maybe even to continue in the promotional role in the first comp.
