re: yes or no conix I have been informed that two of the four brokers have been talking to other oil companies in an effort to arrange alternative bids for HDR. Most likely these oil co's would not move until they know the outcome of the shareholders' meeting to determine the Tullow bid .

If I have such information, I'd...

(1) be very careful in how I treat it;
(2) think twice about posting it on a BB;
(3) if I decide to be brave and post it on a BB, I'd do it discretely;
(4) simply wouldn't post it come to think of it - not unless you want to destroy your existing relationship with your brokers/sources

Inside whispers are usually within a trusted loop of close shops. When was the last time any of the inside source info you posted actually eventuated?

As for your concept of someone counter-bidding AFTER the voting (what da???), you CANNOT be serious...
