The Ministry of Mines, Energy, and Rural Electrification is inviting inputs into its draft National Minerals Policy.
The National Minerals Policy sets out the Government’s intentions for the mineral sector.
It proposes significant changes to a number of areas, including how landowners are identified for potential mining projects, who owns minerals, and how mining revenue is managed, allocated, and reported on.
A community message from the Ministry headquarter is inviting members of the public to express their views on the policy.
It adds submissions are invited from an individual or on behalf of a company, organisation, or another representative group before Friday 21st October.

From my understanding, the final timeline has begun.
Closing date for submissions is 21st October.
