I guess no-one would like me to paste in some "irrelevant" points from the latest, hot off the press paper by Sverdrup (University of Iceland) "Modelling global extraction, supply, price and depletion of the extractable geological resources with the LITHIUM model"
It will appear in the November edition of Resources, Conservation and Recycling 114 (2016) pp112–129.
It gives some forecasts of EV production, outlook for recycling of lithium (it's going to increase sooner than you think) and just how little cobalt there is - insufficient to support many of the forecasts for EV production unless some sort of substitution occurs.
I guess it is irrelevant if it does not cohere with the promotional material put out by the company or starry eyed promoters.
