Syrah has built up a strong board, and a very solid and capable staff - and Tolga Kumova deserves a great deal of credit for having driven this process. The mere fact that there is a chairman of the calibre of Jim Askew, available and willing to step into the MD role, albeit on a part-time basis, says a lot for the underlying strength of the company.
The fundamentals remain in place. Balama is still the largest and richest graphite deposit in the world, with an advanced, fully funded project. The development is on schedule, and will ship product in less than nine months time. Yet, at the current price, the world's premier graphite mine is priced by the market at a little over three times projected 2019 earnings. As DSD has clearly stated, there is a buying opportunity here.
