What's worse for LT shareholders:-
(1) Coy X borrows and borrows and borrows to pay for dividends today with long term growth restricted because of increasing debt and interest payments to pay for the divvies OR
(2) Coy Y borrows big to make acquisitions for LT growth and sustainable divvies for all shareholders.
Scenario (1) is applauded by Mr Market and share price goes up because of short term yield plays which IMO is unsustainable.
Go figure!
