BIS Shrapnel forecasts increases over the 3 year period(not per annum) for median residential property prices (from June 2002 estimated median to June 2005 estimated median). Mr. Mellor may be correct this time: -

Melbourne 13%
Brisbane 27%
Adelaide 6%
Perth 16%
Hobart 6%
Canberra 11%
Darwin 24%
These are quite average returns assuming home/investemnt loan interest rates average 7% p.a. over the period.
John Aldersley is expecting there will be a signifcant shift back to the stockmarket. He could also be on the money.
