Any older folks out there that were trading before modern technology came about care to share how they traded before computers were around or made affordable?
Anyone ever floor trade at the exchange? That must have been an experience, would be some fevers runnin' hot in the room....
Would have even been stressful racing to the phone to call the broker for a sell or buy, hardly any real time precision involved?. I guess it wouldn't have been too stressful for a LT'er, but I'd imagine for the ST folk it would've added a degree or two of difficulty?
Having computer issues this week makes me curious about how people went about business back in the day. I had a phone for backup so it wasn't too bad but what was the backup plan (if there was) before phone internet and computers came about? the homing pigeon with a letter around it's neck? .
Would love to hear some info around this. I'm fascinated.
