I agree jim. This is what is happening in the US and the UK but from what I can gather from how Frydenberg talks is that the government has taken the weird view that we dont need any new capacity besides the RET for the next 20 years and we can ride it out with a mix of coal and RE until RE and household batteries come to the rescue.

I think they are stark raving mad to be honest. But it seems the RE industry lobby has them mesmerised. Given how useless APPEA are at the lobby game it seems this is what is current day thinking in Canberra.

It is crazy.
