We know the industrial use of silver will continue to increase in electronics due to the growing Chinese and Indian middle class, we also know growing solar panel demand will require silver in the renewable energy space, but another area I am starting to see demand growth is medical use.

Elemental silver has naturally antibacterial properties which are becoming ever more useful in a world where antibiotic resistance is starting to become a real problem. As a pharmacist by trade, I am starting to see higher demand for silver wound dressings, colloidal silver taken orally and silver coated surgical instruments and possibly even hospital fittings. This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as possible future uses for this very special precious metal.
