re: obvious trade .. Thanks mate, yeah, instead of moaning I'm gonna act. Will sign up with IG and give them a try, although from what I read they aren't DMA either, so out of the fat into the frying pan ?

What I do like about CMC is the wide range of instruments you can trade ie Shares, Indices world wide, FX, commodities etc, although atm I am a novice at any of them.

Main reason for getting involved in CFD's was to hedge my long term hold portfolio (incase the world ends tommorrow, lol) and also to start to get my head around short term trading without risking huge $$ and paying lotsa commission. I mainy short term trade indices
