labor is in the proverbial hard place and no amount of deck chair shuffling will get them out of it in the foreseeable future..... it's their own fault for not being a party who look far afield for their candidates - this is 2006, free market economies, etc. etc...... and who do they prefer as candidates? tired union hacks whose mentality is firmly anchored in the 1950's..... labor has to dump the union's power before they will ever emerge from the wilderness..... a pity Latham was flaky - they need someone outside of their machine to have the remotest appeal..... doomed again....
