A look through the list of charities "participating" in Veterans Call indicates that collectively they collect US$15-$20m p.a. in individual donations. This is a roughish estimate as 3 don't show any financials (so I've not included them) & some lump corporate & individual together etc. The point is that, as a start, there is enough $ going through their hands for ACU to get stuck in & working with them to make Veterans Call worth participating with & to catch the attention of other charities. The concerning fact is that only 2 of these charities, on their website, offer Veterans Call as a way to make a donation. One offers it as 1 of 8 choices & the other as a last resort.
If the ACU team thought all they needed to do was produce a neat geeky app & it would all happen on its own they have thought wrong. Do we have the right management to make this work????
