    Well, I suspect that if they can't get control by cajoling and manipulation, they might actually make a bid.

    Why not? ...Exhaust the cheap route first by giving the tree a vigourous shake, then have a ding-dong go if that fails. Even a fairly modest bid at, say, 40-50c might get 'em there from current levels, though it might also flush out other interested parties. (Not that they'd be unhappy with that outcome either.)

    I certainly wouldn't worry about them spitting the dummy - a) because they plainly like and know the value of what's here, and aren't likely to step away too easily; and b) even if they were of that mind, interest is snowballing (as more and more boxes are ticked by the present Board) to the point where now I believe their shares would be fairly readily hoovered-up by the market.
