And yes I bought a overpriced Tesla. I felt I needed to do my part to help change people's minds. I'm really the last person you would profile as a EV guy. My other vehicle is a Ford long bed F-350 quad cab Turbo Diesel with oversized tires. Fuel tank and toolbox combo in the back, and yes I do wear cowboy boots most days. I live on a farm a full hour from the nearest supercharger station. My commute to SLC 55 miles each way and put on 200+ miles sometimes. Injust like 6 months I've never had to charge anywhere but in my garage. We did install a 9.5KWH solar system just prior to buying the Tesla. It's better than you can imagine. I'm sold and sold again. The reason I invested in GXY is because the EV is so much better than a ICE that I know as prices come down its game over. No one that can put a rationale thought together would ever choose a gas car over a EV once they are affordable. The pros outweigh the cons 100-1. I'm just waiting for someone to build me a EV truck that can handle a real loaded trailer.

It might finally be time to buy the solar companies again? They have just about beat each other bankrupt and the survivors might make it with a little help in policy change.

I've got a Mt. property w/house 1 1/2 drive from downtown San Diego. It's all solar. Also own two gas vehicles and a small Case diesel backhoe/loader. Not ready to buy anything new so EV is out of the question. I do have a propane back-up power generator. It may be I look into a power wall when the time comes to replace the nickels and lead.
I'd prefer Donald over Hilary but that's just being like Up's bear with tree bark and no toilet paper, nothing better in the woods. Really, I think y85 could run the US better...
As for holding long it's no big deal. I've been building my own "battery of stocks" as it seems like lithium will become cyclical with other ingredients briefly taking the lead like a formation of birds crossing the sky.
