When gross shorts are say 40% of daily volume, is because people can open and close their position in the one day, and not effect net shorts.
They do get their data from the asx, the text between the graph at the top and the table at the bottom explains it.

Part of this thread seems like madness. You've invested in a company that has long term goals (one of them being $20 per share by 2020 from memory), but you're worried about the % change in shorts on a daily basis?
