Great - sounds like holders will have some solid representation there.
Having attended (and run in the past) such meetings, they are typically choreographed to avoid delays, discussions, side tracking etc - basically viewed more of a formality for items on the table which are simply resolutions to vote for. Additionally since show of hands votes are practically non-existent, proxy votes lodged ahead of time are known enabling the company to be able to estimate an outcome (by holder not holding vote, but still a reasonable estimation possible), and hence gear any introductory information accordingly. Further the requirement is proxy votes by paper need to ne lodged 2 days in advance - so since the company knows but a few would attend to vote on the floor, with the majority votes proxied explicitly (or implicitly where no vote cast) to the chairman to execute, the outcome (whether known or not) is aready determined - i.e. there is no benefit to the company to discuss proposals on the floor, and indeed if they do, can dig a bigger hole for themselves since would be on public record.

All that can really leave some investors who went out of there way to attend in good faith.

I am not trying to out water on the fire, rather trying to postulate how a board acts and plans for Agms in such a way to simply pass resolutions and minimise confrontation. Agms are really formalities these days if you read through regulations and meeting protocols, they have never changed since the advent of electronic communications unfortunately.

However at the conclusion of the Agm is always the informal gathering - despite resolutions completed, that is an excellent forum for collective airing and discussion and is certainly something attendees can choreograph amd plan for in advance and I would encourage attendees to work out in advance exactly the issues to focus on.

And another idea is to organise a meeting with Glyn the day before the meeting - and do not take no for an answer! Attendees can call for an informal meeting and discussion regarding proposals on the table and there is no legal justification to refuse. So instead of a post agm drinks and airing of concerns, do the same pre-agm. And even if he declined, turn up in the afternoon before as a delegation and stand in the reception until leaves the office. Not saying do that, but is a strategy if we are discussing strategies - nothing is impossible. Downside of course is means extra cash out if pocket for attendees for hotel rooms and and extra day out of work. Having said that, and knowing roughly who is attending, I am not averse to throwing in a few bob to assist there - exactly how, no idea since an anonymous forum, but likely a few others who would similarly contribute.

Over to the forum for their ideas....
