The selection of (top 200) stocks you are interested in require little effort or thought...everyone has a few of them, they are analysed to death and the only question is; which one am I prepared to park some cash in given the relatively low expectation of life-changing returns?
As for growth...lol...of course 10% growth on a "BHP" adds more value to the index than even 1000% on a micro-cap stock...but which one results in the greater return individually?
Mightly nice of you to want exposure to the stocks that added some $1trillion or so to the ASX200...but really, I am not sure your 200 shares in BHP would have really made much difference to your personal wealth?
The same invested in many of the stocks you deride so much (before the fact), by contrast can have life changing ramifications.
You know this of course?
