    "Daytrading is not a job.
It fails the 'earn money' test.

If you already have a job, keep it.
    If you dont, find one."

clarkkent.....re: your comments above....some of us are not in a position to be able to maintain a full-time, let alone a part-time, job. I am a mother of three young children (5, 3 and 10 month old). I gave up working part-time earlier this year because the combination of child care costs and stresses working places on a young family made work not a worthwhile prospect.

Day trading provides me with a means of staying at home and generating an income.........and thankfully, to date, have generated more than previous earnings from "keeping a job".

I use a combination of cfd's (for mostly blue chips) and buying shares outright through a regular trading account (more than half of my account is now devoted to speculative short to medium term trades).

Because of restrictions of margin loans, I opted for an extension of my mortgage loan which allows me more freedom on how I utilise my funds. CFD's also allows me greater bang for my buck and the ability to take advantage of an up or down market.

Trading requires lots of patience and research.....but generating a profit to live on is more than possible.
