Also lost my little dog named Porky who died when he was 18 years old. In fact, I used to sit Porky on my knee when posting on Hotcopper.

Having said all that, Yes, I miss them all.
However, here I am with my beautiful Black Labrador Kelpie Cross, Luka who is 8 and sitting on my knee now is my lovely cat Treddles who is also 8. Both of them bring a smile and warmth to me everyday.

Will I miss them when they die.

Of course I will.

Even though I have lost alot of beautiful well cared for pets over the years, I find it's much better for me to have animals in my life than not to have them.

They are very much a part of who I am.

I so agree with you.
I love my current little one with all the love I can give, and he loves me back.
But there was some very special connection with my pincher, that I can't explain.

Maybe the fact, that I was the chosen favorite of his love and affection....

Will miss and love him/his memory as long as I live.
