CK seems to be an ultra cautious investor which may suit him.
However if *everyone* invested in the fashion he does, our market would stagnate and decline. Our new innovative products would not be funded sufficiently by the market to succeed and replace old companies which have reached their useby dates or are taken over etc.
Perhaps he might argue that he gains exposure to new companies through the safe investment funds he has chosen - thus benefiting the middle men, yet I think it is undeniable that sunrise companies also rely upon the confidence and support of individual investors.
