Most transmission occurs from "asymptomatic" (no signs of symptoms) infected individuals who are experiencing "viral shedding" without knowing.
Hence, if you want to get hsv2 down at a population level, you need to dramatically reduce viral shedding!
Admedus' appear to have the leading product for this.
At a minimum, everyone who is infected by hsv2 and are on daily anti-viral meds would instantly switch to Admedus' vaccine. They'd probably encourage their uninfected partner to receive the vaccine too, so they have a native level of immunity and reduce the chance of getting infected.
