the guy was only fighting for cash, have a look at all the other places he had fought before. That would give him more combat experience then the majority of our defence force bar some SF units.
All I am saying though is that we must have set in place a standard system, to prosecute people if they have committed a crime. Why were all the charges against David Hicks dropped?? Because the system that was in place was found the be illegal. But the man is still being detained under what law?? Can anyone answer that question?? Also if it legal for the US to detain people outside the law by holding them offshore, which has also been demonstrated by Australia, with boat people, doesn't this set a dangerous precedence for other countries?? Whats good for the goose in also good for the gander. Play nice, and play fair and you will continue to have the support of the people, if this support is lost government will change, leading to changes in policy. And loosing another war. The US has not won a war in since when?? WW2
