Actually what should have happened to Hicks is that he should have been tried in the country where he was arrested Afghanistan. The laws applicable to members of the Taliban there should have been applied. This would probably have resulted in his execution but for some reason the US chose to grab him and remove him from that country. Now they have to deal with the problem. Dave R.
