I just got off the phone to Gekko sytems and it seems like there is no problem with the plant. It is the assay problem and mine design that need to be sorted. Optimising mine design to ensure adequate feed for the plant and being able to quickly and accurately conduct samples is the problem.
If there is very high grade gold ore going in and you have the plant set for lower grade then this will end up in the tailings dam, a bad situation indeed. To me this is not the end of the mine, it is just a short term hick up that can be fixed, it will just give us grey hair waiting that is all. Orinoco has just tried to keep costs down to a minimum but now we have to spend a few bucks fix it and then it will be smooth sailing.
