Apology forgot to add that its not the "before opening" its after a momentum up as its vector
then there is a dump before closing whilst the momentum is still up & often just after noon
with statistically significant correlation with the pre-setting of various positions to match - this
clearly forces the price down. If it was pre-open & cspa it wouldn't be an issue though even
for that and re my vas FMG & BHP there are pre-open reconciliation timings congruent with
the previous days opens in algorithmic ratio to previous days cspa. There is whats
called a Kalman aspect to it - which was trialed decades ago when mainframes started
to hook up with floor traders re ph & paging - all history now but, variations on the same theme...

by the way, my tech buddy is a PhD chem engineer and does know rocket science, ihe a dab
hand at chemical equilibria - which is what you need for rocket science hence his s/w
re pattern recognition re changing equilibrium states - ALC is a rather outside that imho :/
