It is good to keep track of it. But would this be a Federal issue or a State issue in terms of Government. If it is Federal you would need to know what the Coalition's viewpoint on it is as there are in Government and last time I checked Kate Ellis is ALP who are in opposition. If it is State then it is up to individual State Govts to rule on it.
The main problem is that we want Childcare centres because people need to work to pay off mortgages and other expenses but Childcare centres need money to run to provide good quality childcare (including paying its workers) and to repair and replace equipment when it breaks down or gets broken.
People keep saying that workers get too low a pay in this area, but income from fees and any subsidies are required to pay these wages. Catch 22.
