Thanks for taking time to respond; I am not so sure about your statement that candle patterns are doomed because every knows about them. I am NOT sure that I can determine a system from my analysis BUT if for example I was to determine that a gap down dragonfly followed by a gap up open (a special form of abandoned baby?) is successful a very high percentage of times (Bulkowski at 70% from your post) then THE MORE PEOPLE THAT KNOW ABOUT IT THE BETTER. eg if SM (smart money) treats a pattern as bullish then they will buy and by definition it will be bullish.
Anyway, nothing startling in any of that BUT just thought it was worth stating.
I will go back to "tossing my coins". ;-)
PS I hope at @Jako64 reads my post and the VSA reference which he might comment on???
