Mogga - your usual self; a serious message with a laugh - thanks - one of my former 'boy' friends could qualify for that picture, but he was 'sans teeth' so you see: I could probably devise a similar list and replace dog with 'partner' and come up with something hilarious; but in essence you are right about dogs.
Most of my friends have dogs, but they also have families, so the responsibilities for the dog are shared out. Last night I spent with friends who have a new and truly beautiful female bull mastiff ('beauty' isn't normally used in that context - but she is); so I am considering, but I have also decided it's time to do a bit more day tripping into the countryside, maybe two- or three-daytripping - with a dog? My last dog, which had been handed over by my eldest daughter (divorce and all that, hubby never liked the dog ...) had a severe skin condition which got difficult and expensive, nevertheless I had her for seven years - I am eternally grateful to have had the chance to get to know this wonderful species ... so I do know the ins and outs of dog ownership, more 'responsibility'. I cried my heart out, when it came to the 'last visit to her beloved vet' she never knew a thing - I bathed her and made her beautiful before the visit.
Something good is going to come out of all of this - it seems like 'fate' gave me a kick in the behind to get up and make some important decisions.
thanks for being a 'cyberspace' friend.
