re: the police of palm island remain losers in the Don;t know how much of the failure to get timely medical help would play in a criminal prosecution but if the video does show plainly that he needed medical care earlier and he was "writhing" in pain etc - and blood in ya belly hurts a lot but doesn’t tend to make you roll around visibly in pain - typically they lay very still and hold their tummy muscles very tight because any movement hurts soooo much.

But if it can be plainly seen that medical help was needed earlier (yes we can all put the retrospectoscope on now and see clearly that it was needed - coz he died) - but if – without the retrospectocope on – it can be shown that a reasonable person would deem that medical care was required some time earlier the family could have a good civil case against the cop and the police for negligence.

Not simply because anyone would help someone in need coz they oft times don’t but because clearly they have a duty of care to the prisoner – they have taken him into custody and thus remove his ability to seek help other than thru the cops – so it is without question that they had aduty towards him - but without seeing the tapes none can really say but if the coroner is correct and it was plain that he needed help much earlier – it would seem they were derelict in that duty of care and damages resulted as a consequence of the failure in tha duty – ie pain and death

If it were me – that is the road I would be looking at very closely and at the same time hoping that in the process further evidence came to light to give to the DPP
