Surprised Hartnells still melbourne cup favourite on that run ? Was a good run but can he stay out 2 miles and still be strong at the end of it ? Only 2 runs have been 4th & 15th both over 6 lengths from winner. Then Jameka second favourite has never got over 2500 and been 2/4 anything over a mile and a half. I don't think either of the favourites will win MC but i'd pick Jameka the untried over Hartnell if i was backing either of them.
