Jeez, major flashbacks ... haven't heard that song in decades.
I've read some books from people who were at Haight-Ashbury in the early days when it was still all naive and innocent. Just some stoners listening to music, feeling the love, and watching the grass grow.
Then, over time, the word got out and the problem kids arrived: the ones from broken homes, abused kids, lost kids. They took the dope but because of their hassles, it screwed up their minds. They were the ones who caused the problems and started harming themselves and others. The start of a downward spiral with the media, police and politicians on their backs.
Yep, kinda amazing that anyone survived at all. How is it possible that all 4 original Rolling Stones are still alive? Not sure about Keith, though. Looks like he might have kicked the bucket some decades ago
