technical aspects of consolidation

Dear EXTers,

I'm a long term holder and have been in this stock since Jan 2006. I really enjoy the posts on this thread and although I don't post much myself am a true believer in what EXT has done and will do. Hence my investment in this company.

I wonder if any our learned colleagues could drop a few lines on the technical aspects of a consolidation? At a ratio of 1 for 10,does the ASX force the company into to pre-open and then forces an opening price point equivalent to the consolidation ratio (1:10 transfer to 10c:$1 - if the stock goes into pre-open at 10c)? Buyers and sellers then comence trading at this new price point and then move upor down depending on the market force?

Any comments on the technical aspects of a consolidation would be appreciated.
