You would have to admit though that a lot of these "pretty tough times" have been self inflicted.
As for this part, ""a lot of them were the kind of investors that do actually build companies because they remain loyal""", well that is your own opinion against others.
Let me tell you that I have lost a lot of money over the years with dodgy companies, but I started to wake up and started reading both sides of the stories before digging deeper in my pockets.
The dodgy stories circulating around here years on years by some posters were beyond beliefs.
