Reaming could be to get better assessment of the previous interval, but by way of timing I suspect casing had been already done on this section

I think they may have hung the latest casing from the bottom - might cause bit of dog leg in drilling and hence need for reaming ? Also explains delay. This approach would save a bunch of steel that might be required to drill the second Heron target. I reckon chances are very strong they will.

By accounts CNOC have some expertise in managing tight formations - so I reckon chances are good they will assess the first target favourably, at least enough to go the second identified drill target.
