you've bought a long term down trending stock with an underlying commodity that is also in a long term down trend.
expect to lose money, and let this be a lesson...
if you want to search for value and buy something that's 'cheap', then at least wait until the trend has changed... wait until the moving averages are pointing up, wait until the diagonal trend lines are broken etc... you don't have to be a mathematical genius... if you showed these monthly charts to a 5yr old and said "which way is the trend pointing" they could tell you: down...
