I am talking about the Australian version too.
I don't know, perhaps it was private berfore your dates, but it was founded in 1924 in Aussie.
They chose the name because of the US name to make it seem greater than what it was, but there was never any relationship between the two.
For some reason the US company did not object to the name use. Couldn't happen today.
