I think that the conservatives are too fixated on their hatred of Triggs to approach the issue sensibly.
Rather than change the law, I think that more attention needs to be given to changing legislation so that the initial process runs smoother.
They should try and set up a system that settles cases like this, in a timely manner before it gets to the High Court.
So after the conciliation process has failed, instead of going to the High court for a determination of whether a case should proceed, they could appoint a specific judge or two to look at those few cases that get that far.
Try and expedite the process.
