I agree with your comments.
And hope you are more correct in anticipating Anvil share price.
Anvil share price has traditionally been valued according to actual past profits.
Probably all who follow Anvil on HC have believed that the share price always undervalues the real worth of Anvil.
It seems institutions who drive the share price are obliged to be ultra conservative.
This protects them from any such events as a slump in copper price, surge in supply over demand, soverign catastrophe, mining disaster, floods ,----- etc.
Would not be surprised to see Anvil share price closer to $2.00 this year.
$1.70 or $1.80 seems a reasonable expectation.
My concern is the increase in mining and production of copper.
Anvil is one of many companies ramping up production.
However if China in particular continues to increase its demand for copper - building construction, demand for cars by the people, etc. - in addition to exports, a reasonable balance between demand and production could continue.
One wonders whether India will become a more significant consumer. And perhaps under developed nations could also ramp up demand.
While the likelihood of Anvil Share price moving closer to $2.00 this year looks good am placing the lower figure $1.50 with higher valuations being a bonus as a cautious conservative strategy.
The "always something" factor has tended to moderate Anvil share price advance.
However your comments regarding the positives for Anvil are spot on!
Anvil is certainly a BUY.
Am looking forward to the bounce.
And looking forward to second quarter profit results with Kinsevere in full production - 50% surge in production of copper by Anvil. (should be worth a 60 cents jump in share price - but on basis of past profit figures and stable copper price)
And looking forward to announcements of increased highly significant reserves established from drilling exploration.
